NextUp

NextUp is the transport management system for trips, routes, and orders. Connect it to Shiftbase and your schedules, hourly wages, and driver hours move between the two systems on their own.

About the integration

Transport companies, couriers, and logistics providers use NextUp to plan trips, optimise routes, and handle orders, with a driver app for the road. Shiftbase handles the people side: schedules, hours, and wage costs. This integration links the two. Schedules and hourly wages go from Shiftbase to NextUp, and the hours your drivers log in NextUp come back to Shiftbase for approval and payroll. You enter everything once.

Why you should have this integration

  • Plan trips around who's actually working: Your Shiftbase schedule lands in NextUp, so your planner sees who's on before assigning a trip or route.

  • Know what a trip costs: NextUp pulls hourly wages from Shiftbase, so you cost every trip and route on real wages instead of estimates.

  • Driver hours without retyping: Hours logged in the NextUp driver app go to Shiftbase after approval and follow your usual route to payroll.

How does the integration work?

  • Schedule import: NextUp imports your Shiftbase schedules, so trip planning always runs on the current roster.

  • Wage data: Hourly wages go from Shiftbase to NextUp to cost each trip and route.

  • Hours export: Hours your drivers log in NextUp reach Shiftbase once a manager approves them.

  • Employee sync: Employees you add in Shiftbase appear in NextUp automatically, so you only make changes once.

  • Setup: Request the connection in Settings → App Center → NextUp. We pass your details to NextUp, and they send you an API token to switch the connection on.

Your transport planning and staff planning now run on the same numbers, from the first trip you assign to the payslip.
