A gap shows up as a complaint.
Someone didn't turn up at six. You hear about it at nine, from the person who pays the invoice.
The clock-in at the location is the proof your business runs on. Your cleaner starts before the offices fill or after they empty, and the hours are already right by the time you approve them.

The work happens before the location fills up or after it empties. If the only proof is a signed sheet at the end of the month, a gap becomes a phone call from the client first.

A sheet on a clipboard, collected weekly. Nobody can check what was worked while it still matters.
New starters most months, each needing a contract, a site induction, and their details keyed in again. HR Pro moves the contract paperwork into the app, so signing and details happen before their first morning instead of chasing them after it.
Recurring shifts, copied forward into next week. When a gap opens you post it as an open shift and everyone qualified in that department sees it on their phone.

Your team clocks in on their phone at the location, restricted by geolocation if you want it. You see the shift start as it happens, instead of hearing about the one that did not.

Publish and everyone has their own schedule, with the address and the start time. Swaps, availability, and time off come in as requests you approve with a tap.

Facility management“The use of Shiftbase encourages employees to check their hours. If there are questions, the system can be directly consulted, and a solution offered.”

OwnersClock-ins as they happen, and what the approved hours cost in wages, so you know what a week of the work really takes.
PlannersPost the shift open and whoever is qualified in that department can claim it. Confirmed before the doors open.
TeamSite, address, and start time in the app, with your own hours visible to you.
Cleaning happens in the margins of everyone else's day. Here is how it looks when the schedule, the hours, and the proof sit in one place.
The early team clocks in at the site on their phones. You see it happen from home.
It shows on this morning's timesheet, so you are making one call rather than finding out in three weeks.
The late team starts as the location empties. Their hours land against the right contract and rate.
The final clock-out closes the day. Evening surcharges are counted, and payroll needs nothing rebuilt.
Every feature in your plan is open from day one, no credit card needed. Your first week can be live tonight.
If your business runs on shifts, the setup already matches how you plan. Invite your team, set it up, and run it on a real week.
Monthly plans, no long contracts. If Shiftbase doesn't fit your business, you leave with your data.
Wage data and contracts are sensitive, so we store them on European servers under GDPR.

They clock in on their phone at the location, and you can restrict clock-ins by geolocation. A missing clock-in shows up straight away, not on a sheet at the end of the month.
Yes. Save the week as a template and the next schedule starts almost finished, with availability and contract hours already respected.
Not per client. Hours register on people and shifts, and Reports total them per employee and per department, so what you get is the cost of the work rather than of a customer - the euro figure there needs Premium. Setting each site up as its own location gets you close, but a location is part of your own organisation rather than a client record, and how many you get depends on your plan. Shiftbase holds no client or billing record, so what you charge for a site stays in your billing system.
No. Travel and in-between time inside a single shift are not modelled, which matters in the Netherlands because the CAO Schoonmaak pays for them. Shiftbase records the shift at the location, applies the early, evening and weekend uplifts, and exports the approved hours ready for payroll. Travel time is added in your payroll software.
Each location is its own shift, so a day with four stops is four shifts. That works when the stops are fixed and repeat weekly. If your people run a different route each day, the shift count gets unwieldy fast and Shiftbase is the wrong fit - there is no route or job record to hang the hours on.
In minutes. Add them, set their contract and availability, and they see their first shift in the app before their first morning.
