About the integration

Lightspeed runs the checkout in thousands of hospitality and retail businesses. This integration brings the numbers from that checkout to where you plan your team. Shiftbase imports your turnover every 15 minutes and shows it in Insights, per team, next to your scheduled hours and labour costs. Shiftbase supports all four Lightspeed series: Restaurant L-Series, Restaurant K-Series, Restaurant G-Series, and Retail. With the L-Series and G-Series, the hours your team clocks on the POS come along too.

How does the integration work?

What the connection covers:

  • Turnover import: turnover flows from Lightspeed to Shiftbase every 15 minutes and shows up in Insights. Shiftbase re-imports the last two days each time, so a correction you make in Lightspeed within a day still comes through. The K-Series can also fetch historical turnover from up to a year back.

  • VAT your way: with the L-Series, K-Series and G-Series, you choose whether turnover comes in with or without VAT. Retail imports turnover including VAT.

  • Mapping: you link your Lightspeed cost centres (or locations, for Retail) to your Shiftbase teams once. Several cost centres can point to one team, and you can leave cost centres out of the import.

  • Clock times (L-Series and G-Series): clock times from the POS flow into Shiftbase time tracking, picked up every three hours. With the G-Series, you also map employees and departments during setup.

  • Setup: install the tile for your series under Settings → App Center and connect with your Lightspeed login. For the G-Series, you fill in a short request form and our team finishes the connection with you.
